TablID POS · for a counter with no internet

When the internet goes, the bills keep printing.

TablID POS is billing and order-taking for one Windows PC at your counter. The menu, the orders and the bills all live on that computer, so a slow connection, a dead one or no connection at all changes nothing about your evening. Waiters take orders on their own Android phones over your restaurant’s Wi-Fi, and the kitchen gets its ticket on paper and on a TV.

One evening on TablID POS

  1. 1

The order is taken at the table

On the waiter’s own Android phone, or at the counter. Half or full, a note like “less spicy”, and a search for the dish nobody can find on page four.

  2. 2

    The kitchen gets its ticket

A kitchen slip prints the moment the order is sent, with the table, the round and the name of the waiter who took it. A TV on the kitchen wall can show the same orders, turning amber and then red as they wait.

  3. 3

    The bill adds itself up

Discount, service charge and GST are worked out for you. Print an unpaid bill for the table to check, then settle it and note how they paid.

  4. 4

    The day closes itself

The day’s takings, dish by dish, with every cancelled dish and who cancelled it. Backup copies are saved to a folder or a USB drive while you work.

What it does

No internet, at all

Your menu, orders and bills live on the PC. The only things it talks to are your own printers, your waiters’ phones and the kitchen TV, over your own Wi-Fi.

Proper GST bills

A tax invoice with CGST and SGST shown separately, a bill of supply for a composition restaurant, or a plain receipt. Invoice numbers run unbroken through the financial year, and liquor can carry its own tax rate.

Waiters on their own phones

An Android app your waiters install straight from the counter PC by scanning a code on its screen. Each signs in with their own ID and a four-digit PIN, and reads it in English, Bengali or Hindi.

You decide who touches money

Managers can give discounts, mark dishes sold out and change prices; waiters cannot. You choose whether a waiter sees every bill, only their own tables’ bills, or none.

The printers you already have

A kitchen printer and a bill printer, each over USB, network or Bluetooth, on 58 mm or 80 mm paper. If a printer jams, the order is still saved and you print it again.

A screen in the kitchen

Any TV with an Android TV box or a Fire TV Stick shows the kitchen’s orders. Nobody logs in, and no prices appear on it.

Tables and takeaway

Move or merge tables, cancel part of a dish with a reason, take a parcel under the customer’s name and number, and see how much the whole floor still owes at a glance.

Past bills and exports

Open any day, reprint any bill, and export the bills or the dishes sold over any dates as a file Excel opens.

Backups you can hold in your hand

Copies go to a folder you choose — a USB drive is fine — through the evening and at close of day. Restoring one is a button in Settings.

Your menu, read in by us

Send us your printed menu. We read it in and give you a menu file to load at the counter, and you are ready to take orders. Prices and dishes are yours to change after that.

What you need

  • A Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC (64-bit) at the counter, with an SSD and 8 GB of memory
  • A UPS behind the PC and the Wi-Fi router — every phone depends on both
  • A Wi-Fi router, with the PC connected to it by cable
  • A kitchen printer and a bill printer
  • Android phones for your waiters, if orders are to be taken at the table

Straight answers

Does it really work with no internet?
Yes. Billing, printing, the waiters’ phones and the kitchen TV all run on the Wi-Fi inside your restaurant, and none of them needs the internet. Your data never leaves the PC.
What happens if the PC breaks?
Your backups are on the folder or USB drive you chose. Install TablID POS on the new PC, restore the latest backup, and call us for a licence for that machine.
Is this the same as the TablID app?
No, it is a separate product for a different kind of restaurant. The TablID app runs on phones over the internet: guests order from a QR code at the table, and you can see the restaurant from anywhere. TablID POS runs on one PC with no internet, so it has no guest QR ordering and no reports away from the counter.
What does it cost?
Talk to us. A licence is for one PC, for a year, and we set up your menu with you before your first evening.

Not sure whether you need the PC or the phone?

If your internet is dependable, the TablID app does more: guests order from a QR code, and you watch every table from home. If it is not, TablID POS is the one that never stops billing. Tell us how your place runs and we will say straight which one fits.
